DESCRIPTION: Join us for an evening of solidarity with Iranian women! We then move to a performance art gallery including interactive choreography, pictures, and fighting symbol displays for addressing themes of women’s rights and female resistance. Every visitor in-person or online is a potential performer in this gallery. For more information about what will happen, please see the Eventbrite site shorturl.at/osxCZ or email us. The planned speaker, Dr. Leili Galehdaran, is no longer able to join us, and we’ll give more details of this change at the start of the event.

DESCRIPTION: We’re facing climate chaos, but consequences vary across class & country. In the ‘cost of living’ crisis, we’re “all in this together”, except, not really. Our open mic meets monthly. During Lockdown, we went on Zoom and have stayed hybrid (Zoom slots limited). Please bring up to 4 mins of poetry, prose, song, on feminism, activism, and solidarity in the face of increasing authoritarian rule. We welcome new and established writers.
